WHO WE ARE
New Testament Child Development Center is a ministry of New Testament Baptist Church in Monroe, North Carolina. We offer the families of our community an opportunity to enroll their children in a professional, Christian-based preschool, after-school program, or summer program. Our Child development Center has been awarded a 5-star rating by the state of North Carolina, because we believe in heartily giving our best in service to the Lord whom we represent (Colossians 3:23). We understand that not only are your children of value to you, but they are also of value to the Lord and to the future of our community.
OUR PURPOSE
CHRISTIAN TRAINING
It is imperative that we not only train children educationally, but also spiritually. God’s plan is for the home, the church, and the school to work together in this important endeavor. In order to help establish a biblical foundation for your children, we hold a chapel service every Wednesday morning. Bible reading, Scripture memorization, prayer, and Bible songs are important parts of each day for our pre-school children. Our staff members do their best to model Christian attitudes and behaviors for the children they serve. The Bible teaches that our words, as well as our actions, have an impact on others. We seek to be a biblical and positive influence in the life of your child.

OUR PROGRAMS

Preschool
We engage your child from the earliest age to foster his or her development and educational growth. We implement The Creative Curriculum as described below and provide a Christian influence not only for toddlers but also for infants and crawlers.
EDUCATIONAL CURRICULUM
Our pre-school program educates and trains children from birth until kindergarten using the Creative Curriculum. The Creative Curriculum is grounded in 38 research-based objectives that are a guide and roadmap for teachers. The Creative Curriculum ensures that our program aligns with state early learning guidelines and the Head Start Child Development and Early Learning Framework. Your child will be educated and enriched at the appropriate level in the following 10 areas of development and learning: Socio- Emotional, Physical, Language, Cognitive, Literacy, Mathematics, Science and Technology, Social Studies, The Arts, and English Language Acquisition. Please ask for further details and a complete list of the 38 objectives.
Nutrition is important, and as part of your tuition, we provide breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack in accordance with state nutrition guidelines. We commit to meeting the dietary needs of each child.
Our Afterschool Program provides the same curriculum and developmentally appropriate practices as our Preschool. Our focus is to provide physical stimulation for the children after a day of classes. We also ensure that each child has the opportunity for quiet time, which allows for relaxation, reading, or attending to homework assignments. During free time, various activities are made available to encourage active play and socialization.
Transportation Services
During the school year, the following transportation services bring children to our facilities:
NTBM bus from Union Academy (upper and lower campuses)
School bus from Rocky River Elementary
